Exterior detailing starts with a proper wash to remove surface dirt and debris, followed by techniques like claying to remove bonded contaminants. The paint may be polished to eliminate light scratches and swirl marks, restoring its gloss and clarity. Protective coatings such as wax, sealant, or ceramic coatings are then applied to protect against UV rays, acid rain, road grime, and oxidation. Clean wheels, polished trim, and spotless glass complete the look, giving the car a fresh, showroom-like finish.
SUMMER
Summer brings hot conditions and heavy thunderstorms leaving dust, mud and other contaminants on your vehicle. These contaminants leave swirl scratches on your paint and mud all over the undercarriage of your car and tires. Not only that, but the heat from the sun oxidizes your car’s paint, leaving a dull finish over time. If you haven’t gotten our Tier 3 Paint Correction in the beginning of Spring, then B&B suggests getting our Tier 1 or Tier 2 Paint Correction in the beginning of summer, giving your car a minor paint correction and summertime shine. We recommend following up with our Tier 1 Maintenance Package every two weeks to keep your exterior clean and protected, and to keep your interior fresh looking and odorless during the summer heat for busy parents and workers. Our Tier 3 Paint Correction services are best recommended during the Spring and Fall seasons for optimum protection, with our 6 month ceramic coating for protection throughout part of the year.
FALL
As summer heat cools off in Connecticut, now is the perfect time to ceramic coat your car! Cooler and cloudy weather allows for ceramic coating to be applied properly outdoors. Hot sunny weather in summer causes paint correction coatings to dry quickly while doing a mobile detail in CT. Sometimes causing mobile car details to take longer. Some issues that mobile detailers can run into are: compound drying and pasting onto your clients car(causing scratch marks and or chalky bumps), or ceramic coatings drying to quickly— causing streak marks and improper protection for your vehicle. During the fall months, cooler and cloudy weather allows mobile detailers to treat your car to the best of their abilities whether you’re at work or at home. Getting your vehicles ceramic coated in the fall is extremely important due to harsh weather conditions ahead and Connecticut road work! Road work is common in the fall due to ideal climate conditions for paving. Paving causes dust and “dust mud” that laches onto your vehicle like paste. A ceramic coating in early fall will protect your car from this throughout the fall and winter months. WINTER
